Christmas Celebration
Friday and Saturday, December 4th and 5th, 2020
The Mt. Pleasant Christmas Celebration, formerly Dickens Christmas, is held annually in historic Downtown Mt. Pleasant, taking place the first Friday and Saturday in December. Come home for the Holidays and wander the streets of Downtown Mt.Pleasant as the scent of pine boughs, roasted almonds, and kettle-corn float through the air and the sound of carolers and holiday merrymakers accompany your stroll.
Have breakfast with Santa, take a hayride to see the Christmas lights, bring the kids to one of the “make and take” crafts, shop the Downtown stores, listen to the sounds of the season with carolers and local musicians, come to the community sing-along and tree-lighting ceremony and end the weekend by watching the Lighted Christmas Parade!
Stop by Santa’s House, give him your wish list and visit with his live reindeer. Enjoy hot chocolate while stopping by one of the many warming stations. Whether it be the Lighted Christmas Parade, a pancake breakfast, crafts at the library, music at local businesses, or strolling through boutiques in downtown Mt. Pleasant, there is something for people of all ages to do.
Additional details will be announced as the event approaches. For more information, please contact Carol Moody with the City of Mt. Pleasant Recreation department at 989-779-5330 or cmoody@mt-pleasant.org
